Our end of the year field trip to Waterbury State Park in Waterbury, Vermont is Friday, June 10, 2016. Students brought home permission slips on 5/20, so please return those ASAP. Here is some basic information if you haven't seen it yet
We will depart at 8:45am and return to school at approximately 2:15pm. Students should be prepared with appropriate clothing/gear for outdoor activities- swimming, kayaking/paddle boarding, walking a nature trail, fishing, sports, and other outdoor games and activities.
The cost of the trip is $8.00, which includes transportation, admission to the park, and a grilled hotdog/hamburg/veggie burger (there may be seconds available).
In addition, a outside company, Umiak outfitters, has kayaks and paddle boards for rent. The cost is $15.00/2 hour rental. Students may split their rental with other students. If you child is interested, then the fee must be paid up front and separate from the trip fee, along with completing a waiver/release form signed by a parent. The company provides personal flotation devices and House B teachers will provide supervision.

You are invited to....... the House B Photography Project Breakfast
We would like to invite you to a celebration of our students’ photography. As part of our study of how place shapes who we are, students completed a photography project in which they took a picture of their favorite or most meaningful place in the community. To accompany the photo, students wrote a statement that explained why the place is meaningful, how it has shaped who they are, and how they interact with the land. They also explained the specific photographic techniques used to make the photograph express exactly what they wanted. Please join us for an informal breakfast where you will be able to see the students’ work.
When: Monday, May 16th, 7:30am-8:15am
Where: Ms. Taggart and Mr. Roof’s classrooms, # 212 and 213.
A light breakfast of baked goods, juices, coffee and tea will be provided.
