New Information Regarding Humanities!!

Greetings,
Our current unit of study, Power to the People, culminates with an art show at the Milton High School on April 2nd. The exact time is TBD, but it will be after school, in the evening hours. We are very excited for our students to have this opportunity to share their learning with their families and the community.
To prepare for the art show, in addition to class time, students will need to use time outside of class to complete their assignments. There are three separate, but related products that students are working on:

  • A short, research paper about a person or organization that made a significant impact on a group's struggle for equal rights.

  • An artistic representation of a group's struggle (most students will probably choose to represent the struggle that they included in their research). This can be any type of art: visual, written, spoken/sung, performed, or digitally composed.

  • A written artist's statement that explains both the artistic process and how the art relates to the struggle for equality.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Also, if you would like to help out with the art show, please email or call us for further information. Thank you in advance.
